Speaker Mr Mark Lin
Mr Mark Lin is a registered social worker with Singapore Association of Social Worker. He has been working in the nonprofit sector for the past 11 years, including 8 years of direct work (focusing on older adults population for at least 6 years) and 3 years of nonprofit management. He holds a Masters in Applied Gerontology, Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) and is certified in Choice Theory & Reality Therapy.
He was involved in several projects supporting older adults: In 2014, he pioneered a community end-of-life project (Good Death) to increase death literacy among seniors in the community, involving 2 major social media campaigns (2016-2017), with combined online outreach of more than 100,000 reach, 2,500 page likes and facilitated about 200 Advance Care Plan (General) process in the community.
In Singapore Cancer Society, he was instrumental in development of strategic cancer services, notable key projects include enhancement of the SCS-Return-to-Work programme and SCS Prostate Cancer (PCa) Survivorship Programme, supported by urologists and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses from Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital and Changi Hospital and Movember Foundation (Australia).
